Oliver Iron Mining changed its name to Oliver Iron Mining Division, USS (US Steel) in 1952 and 11 years later, the Oliver name disappeared to become today's Minnesota Ore Operations, USS Corp. The Oliver Iron Mining Division operated three 65-ton Whitcombs, № 1000, № 1001 & № 1002 with respective build dates of June, March & September 1944. They used Whitcomb locomotives for light duty tasks such as mine track laying.
